Cathrina "Teeny" Yandt (Van de Polder)

Cathrina (Teeny, Tina) Patricia Yandt (Van de Polder) of Petawawa passed away on Nov. 23, 2025 surrounded by family after a long battle with Alzheimer's. Born August 30, 1953 in Guelph, Ontario, to parents John and Patricia, she is survived by her husband Randy, her children Mark (Jennifer) and Greg (Avery), and granddaughters Naomi and Olive. She graduated from Ambassador College in 1976 and her entrepreneurial spirit carried her through a variety of small business endeavors. She was a hairstylist for more than 35 years. Teeny was extremely athletic, loved to dance, and enjoyed sports of all types, especially waterskiing, which she did until age 70.

Teeny loved people and was a spark of energy in any crowd. She was practical and always ready to take action. A compassionate friend, she filled many fridges and held numerous volunteer roles. She cleaned up local roadsides until finding her way home was no longer possible. She will be sorely missed.

A celebration of life will be held from 11am-2pm on Dec. 1, 2025 at Pine Ridge Family Church, 27 Brumm Rd. Pembroke, On. Short service at 11:30, and a light lunch to follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Miramichi Lodge would be warmly received.
