Peter was the goalie on our AC hockey team. A very good hockey player. We didn't run in the same crowd but I'm sorry that he has left us. Condolences to his family.

Peter Clark was full of life and fun, and beloved by many.  Great sense of humor and HUGE heart.  Never would mistake him for an AC "yellow pencil" (lol).  He grew up near Toronto, Canada, was a hockey goalie at college, and took me to many Los Angeles Kings games (we dated for 3 years).  After college, he married beautiful red-haired Kim Saye Hugentobler (AC 1976) and they had one daughter, Kristen.  I ended up meeting, dating and marrying Peter's friend and roommate, Brad McDowell (AC 1976).  Peter came to our wedding, and visited several times through the years when passing through our area.

Brad and I were shocked to learn from good friend Terry Wood (T. Davis) that Peter and his beloved dog were killed instantly in a head-on car collision (the other driver crossed the meridian), while driving from the mid-West to visit his parents in Canada over Thanksgiving weekend, 2009.  His sister Cindy had passed several years previously from cancer, leaving Peter's grieving parents childless.

Peter was one of those 'International' students that helped me expand my small town (50) mindset. From the Canadians I started to learn about hockey. There were a number of discussion about whether anyone except the goalie should wear a helmet.

Rhonda McDowell, thanks for sharing your story and the picture.
