I saw Henry as an outstanding example of success with his AC education. His death was unexpected. He left his lovely wife, Collenn (Rogers) and their daughters too soon. He had an infectious smile and laugh which are missed.

Henry and Colleen Doerr settled in the Bay Area, and were raising their two girls here when he passed away suddenly in his early 40's. Colleen still attends our GCI Congregation here in San Jose and is close with our family. Their daughters, Christina and Victoria are married and each have an adorable baby son, much to the delight of Grandma Colleen. Their Dad would be so proud of them!

Carol # 2: Thanks Carol so much for your comments about Henry, Colleen and daughters, and now the grand kids.  I can see Henry beaming now over those kids.  I wish more or us could have known Henry,  He was usually the last guy to leave the computer room in the 70's & 80's cuz he was so dedicated to getting the "reports" out.  Then when we were transferred unexpectedly to the Bay Area in 1996, there was Henry, serving the local church with, well, sweetness.  We were about to ordain him an elder when he suddendly had the fatal heart attack.  We kind of adopted his daughters Victioria & Christi after that.  When Henry's sister Judy was a student, she lived at our house, and so did her fiancee Don Carlson.  When they came down for the funeral we hung out together again along with Henry's Mom.  We never quite got over the loss, but God worked it out.  Over my long career, I have seen only a handful of hearts that were in Henry's top-tier category.  FWIW   JR
