Rodney England

Rodney E. England January 14, 1953 - February 18, 2010 Rodney Eugene England made his final journey in this life to complete healing and eternal life on February 18, 2010. Rod was born in Lubbock, Texas on January 14, 1953. His family moved to Anaheim, California when he was a year old. He attended public schools and graduated from Ambassador College. As a tour guide in his summer vacations he discovered his love of the Colorado mountains. After graduation he came to live in Vail, Colorado where he lived his dream of being the "ultimate ski bum". He worked as a marketing and sales manager of Weather Shield, Pella Window & Door Companies. He moved to Grand Junction, Colorado where he met and married his beloved heart, Debbie. Rod and Debbie cofounded Wounded Warriors - Sons and Daughters of America. Rod worked tirelessly raising money to assist our returning wounded from Iraq and Afghanistan. He appreciates the selfless sacrifice our men and women in the military make everyday on our behalf. Rod never met a stranger and everyone was family. Rod was passionate about living and sharing with others the truth of the Torah, God's living word in Yeshua, Jesus Christ. To that end he founded Seventh Day Ministries to further share this message. Rod's parents, Kenneth and Artie preceded him in passing. He is blessed with brothers and sisters, Gary England, Robert, Lenna, Paul, and Nancy; his many children, Heather, Tiffany, Robert, Joseph, Sherronna, Wes and Tawnie; his delightful grandchildren, Austin, Braden, Madison, Addianna, Brooklyn, Edak and Cadien; Rod's nieces and nephews, Lizzie, Blake, Abby and Joshua; his in-laws, Pat, Ed, Bob and Ruth. Rod is blessed with a large body of extended family not only in Grand Junction, but Crawford, Montrose, Delta and Cedaredge. Rod asked that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to Wounded Warriors - Sons and Daughters of America, P.O. Box 23003, Glade Park, CO 81523, or visit the website, americaswounded.org. Rod's celebration of life and loves will be Sunday, February 28, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Covenant Fellowship Church, 62701 East Jig Road, Montrose, CO 81404. 1 Peter 2:4 and when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the crown of glory that does not fade away.
