Robert Gentet (1957)

I have many, many memories of HLH, but there is one in particular of Mrs. Hoeh.  At times, Marji and I would buy some meat from the Hoehs.  One day, when Isabell was going through the frozen section of the refrig, she picked up a piece of frozen meat and quickly put it back exclaiming: "No, you can't have that, that's Dr. Hoeh's brains!"  (Obviously, he liked to eat the brains of some creature, but it didn't quite come out that way!)  We all burst out laughing.

Her obituary as printed in The Jourrnal is as follows:

FOLEY, Ala. -- Longtime Worldwide Church of God member Isabell Hoeh died Nov. 21, 2007, three years to the day after her husband, WCG evangelist Herman L Hoeh, died.Among her many other interests, Mrs. Hoeh wrote articles on food and health for The Good News, the WCG's member magazine. Two such articles, "Eat Right to Be Healthy" and "Recipes for Days of Unleavened Bread" are reprinted on the Church of God Faithful Flock Homeschool Association's Web site at tinyuri.com/38dunm. Mrs. Hoeh is survived by a son, Manfred Hoeh; three daughters, Karline Ellis, Anneliese Roemer and Gilda Brockmeier; and several grandchildren.
