Long-time member and elder, Joseph Harold Lester, died Monday afternoon, October 22, 2018.  His death was from complications after he suffered a heart attack and fall that left him with two broken ribs and other serious injuries.  Mr. Lester was born June 2, 1936, on a small farm in rural Georgia.

Harold Lester came into the Worldwide Church of God in 1963 after listening to Herbert Armstrong on the radio while driving to work.  He attended Ambassador College from 1963 to 1967, and was ordained an elder in 1967.  He pastored congregations in Georgia, Texas, Florida and Washington before retiring in 1995.  He is survived by his wife of nearly 62 years, Carol, Daughter, Pam, son-in-law, Danny and two grandchildren, Audrey and Ian.

Please pray for the family during this difficult time.  We are thankful to God for his life, his encouraging demeanor and dedication to the church.  "Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of His saints.  O LORD, truly I am Your servant;  You have loosed my bonds" (Psalms 116:15-16).
