I have many memories of Bob Steep. A rather humorous memory was when we were gathered at Burr Oak Lodge in Ohio for a conference. There must have been some disgruntled employee who liked to make threats at night. We had to vacate the building and head for the parking lot until the police finished searching the building. We finally were able to go back to bed.
Bob Steep and I ate breakfast together the next morning. Mike was doing his administrative duties and Estelle was sleeping in. Bob mentioned how Estelle had him check under the bed after they returned from the parking lot. At least, she knew that it was clear until our next night in the parking lot!
