From the Des Moines Register Dec. 22, 1982 (Mike Died Dec. 20, 1982)

Services for Michael S. Wendelboe, 24, of 1801 York St., will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Hamilton's Funeral Home.  Burial will be at Pine Hill Cemetery.

He died Monday at Mercy Hospital Medical Center of chest injuries after he fell as he was washing windows at the downtown Holiday Inn.

Born in Minnesota, Mr. Wendelboe lives in Des Moines 15 years and was an employee at Larry's Window Cleaning.

Survivors include his parents, Jerald and Marjorie of Des Moines, a sister, Lorrie Disney of Norwalk, a brother, Douglas of Des Moines, maternal grandmother, Thereda Folie of Clarks Grove, Minn., paternal grandmother, Alice M. of Albert Lea, Minn., and paternal grandfather, Eilert Sr. of Waukee.

Friends may call after noon today at the funeral home.

Around 1980 I read in the WN obits that Mike had been killed in a fall on his window washing job. (He was a great guy and a 76/77 dorm mate.)
