Ruth Matthews (Bauer)

Ruth lost her battle with cancer on November 11, 2023.
She married Rod Matthews in 1973 and moved to Australia. She and Rod also lived in New Zealand and traveled extensively in the surrounding area, visiting and serving in many countries. They had two sons and several grandchildren. Ruth will be greatly missed by many, many people.
Ruth was a much-loved, cherished, dear friend, going all the way back to her senior year, my freshman year, in Pasadena. She was one of the best people I have ever known and I'm so very grateful to have been able to stay close for all those years. Rest well, dear friend.
