Vera Lillian Boone, 63 years old, of Corsicana, Texas, went home to be with her Lord on May 6, 2019. She was preceded in death by her parents, Vinkley and Lucille Boone, her sister Mary Boone Stephens, and brother Peter of Vicksburg, Mississippi. Vera is survived by her youngest brother, John Boone of Machias, Maine and niece, Hannah Stephens and great niece Capri Stephens of Byram, Mississippi, and friends and relatives who remember her sweet spirit.
Vera was a ’74 graduate of Warren Central High School in Vicksburg, Mississippi. She worked from California to Maine in assorted fields throughout her adult life. She was currently working at Harmony Living Center in Corsicana. She was a faithful church attendee and visited several in Corsicana during her time there.
Memorial service will be held on Thursday, May 30th @ 2:00 at First Baptist Church Chapel in Corsicana Texas, with Dr. Danny Reeves officiating.
Plans are pending for a celebration of her life with friends and family in her hometown of Vicksburg, hopefully soon. Memorials may be made to any charity of your choice.
