I am sad to report the death of Marietta McFarland, wife of George. She died today, Saturday, October 26, 2019 of cancer.  Thankfully her illness was of comparatively short duration and she had no pain, a fantastic blessing!

George and Marietta worked tirelessly in the Mail Receiving Section of Mail Processing for over 30 years in the Worldwide Church of God.

Obituary for Marietta McFarland

Marietta McFarland age 79 of Wheeler passed away Saturday, October 26, 2019 at her home.

Cremation rites will be accorded. Private memorial services will be held at a later date.

Marietta was born on August 2, 1940 in Jasper County, Illinois the daughter of Arnold and Maude (McCann) Boxley. On January 9, 1963, Marietta married George N. McFarland. He survives. In addition to being a wife and mother, Marietta worked in the admissions office of Ambassador College. She was a member of Grace Communion International.

Marietta will be loved and remembered by her husband of fifty-six years George McFarland of Wheeler; sons John David McFarland of Wheeler and Brian Nelson (Julia) McFarland of Robinson; two step-grandchildren and sister Nellie (Lyle) Johnson of Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Her parents and three sisters preceded her in death.
