Dawn's Passing (Photo to follow)
It is with a great deal of sadness that I serve notice of the passing of my children’s beautiful and beloved mother. Most of you will know her as Dawn Carol Brittain, class of 1969.
Dawn Carol Leswick (née Brittain), formerly Hofer, passed away Friday, September 11, 2026 at the age of 75 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Dawn was born in Baltimore, Maryland and raised in Seattle, Washington but called Victoria home for the last 49 years. A talented seamstress, Dawn created beautiful pieces for the home and wardrobe that continue to grace the lives of many in Victoria. Her warm heart, generous spirit, and hearty laugh touched all who knew her.
Dawn is survived by children, Britt, Gigi, Ira and John, siblings Scott, Robert and Gigi, several nieces and nephews, former husband Elie, and many friends. She was predeceased by her husband Darryl and parents Bob and Gloriana.
The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff at Royal Jubilee Hospital and Victoria General Hospital for taking such good care of our mom.
A private Celebration of Life will be held in the coming weeks.

TERRY BEAVER (SCHREIBER) HERE:
I just read of the passing of Dawn Brittain. Dawn was my roommate my senior year at Ambassador College. Dawn was a cute, sweet, pleasant little freshman, who was always agreeable and happy to be around. I have thought of her fondly throughout the years since then. I'm sure her family and friends will miss her.
