It is with great sadness that the family of Bambi Lynn Patterson, lovingly nicknamed Bam, share that she passed peacefully July 17th, 2024, after a courageous battle with Pancreatic cancer. Bambi lived in Riverton, Utah for the past 30 years along with her husband Bill Patterson.
She was a true angel on earth whose compassion, selflessness, and boundless kindness touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her. She leaves behind a legacy of love that will forever inspire and uplift those who had the privilege of knowing her and will remain forever in our hearts.
Born on July 19, 1957, in Murray Utah, Bambi exemplified a rare and beautiful spirit from an early age. Her life was defined by a steadfast commitment to God, family, helping others and making a positive impact on the world around her. Bambi's unwavering belief in the power of kindness and empathy was a guiding light for those fortunate enough to be in her presence.
Family was at the heart of Bam's life, and she cherished every moment spent with her loved ones. She was a loving spouse, mother, sister, sister-in-law, daughter, aunt and friend known for her unwavering support, guidance, and boundless love. Bam's warmth and generosity extended beyond her immediate family, encompassing a wide circle of friends and acquaintances who were touched by her kindness and empathy.
Bambi worked for Heart and Lung Institute of Utah for 33 years as an administrative assistant. She was well loved and appreciated by all the doctors and medical staff she worked with.
She enjoyed many things in life including, flowers, gardening, sitting in her back yard, soaking up the sun, decorating, camping, traveling, yearly motorcycle road trips, playing cards, dominos, showering her grandkids with special gifts and treats, her church family, quality time with friends and family. Her top favorites were going and serving at Grace Fellowship, camping, traveling to Italy, or anywhere she could sit on the beach and enjoy the ocean.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Bertha Bryce (2024). Bambi will be missed by her loving family, which includes her husband of 46 years Bill, three daughters Jeni Akalis (Daniel), Laura Hayes (Preston), and Jessica Patterson; father (Bill Bryce); three sisters, Beth Hart (Neil), Nancy Akers (Terry), Susan Regazzoli (Gary); four grandchildren (Payton, Aria, Raegan, and Parker), as well as all her family in Canada.
Bam's departure leaves a void that cannot be filled, but her spirit will continue to live on through the memories and legacies she leaves behind. We find solace in the memories we shared and take comfort in knowing that Bam's legacy of love will endure forever.
We would like to offer our sincere thanks and gratitude to the countless medical professionals who gave Bam such amazing care over the last couple years. Our lives have forever been touched by everyone who cared for Bam and our family during some of the most difficult times of our lives.
Flowers are welcome because they brought her so much joy or a donation made to PanCAN under the team name Bam Strong for Pancreatic Cancer research. A celebration of Bambi’s life will be held on August 3, 2024 at Discovery Christian Community Church 5929 S 900 E SLC Utah at noon. All those who wish to pay their respects and honor Bam's memory are welcome to attend.
Though Bam may no longer be with us in body, her spirit will forever remain a beacon of light and inspiration.

Dear Bill,
I was shocked when I read this. My deepest condolences to you, your children and extended families. I remember you and Bambi from AC hockey almost 50 years ago. Much water under the bridge and many changes since then. I also think we crossed paths at the AC reunion in Pasadena in Feb, 2015. I will be thinking of you.
All my sympathy,
Steve Frandsen
