_______________________________

Gary John Eads (58) of LaPorte, Texas passed away February 22, 2007 from bladder cancer. He had been dealing with it for about 3 years. The first time it went into remission for a year. It returned and he dealt with it about 6 months. He passed away peacefully at home with me (his wife) and son Brandon by his side.

Gary was born August 24, 1949, the last of 7 children born to Ruth (Bradley) and Asa Eads of Albany, Illinois. He went to Ambassador College in Big Sandy for a summer and then to AC in California, graduating in 1978. In October of 1978 he married me, Elizabeth (Liz) Wright of Walnut, Illinois. When he passed away, we had been married almost 29 1/2 years.

We had three children. Sabrina was born in October 1979 while we were in Illinois, Brandon in August 1981 just after we moved to Houston, Texas, and Karyn was born in 1986. Gary was so proud of his kids. Sabrina is working on her master's degree in Counseling, Brandon was in school for Computer Aided Drafting

(finished in December and is now working) and Karyn was in college, still deciding exactly wheat she wanted to do. She had also recently gotten engaged. (She and her fiance are planning an October 29, 2008 wedding- what would have been our 30th anniversary).

Gary had many different jobs in his life. The last 15 years or so he had worked at Walmart and was also substituting in the schools in the area.

One of his special memories was our 28th anniversary when we went to a bed and breakfast in Kemah, Texas and just spent a couple days together. I had planned it as a surprise and he really loved that. He talked about it and had wanted to do it again.

Gary was involved in softball in the different church areas we were in for many years.
