Conray Leon Jennings, 81, Jacksonville Alabama, passed away December 31, 2020, at Jacksonville Health and Rehabilitation. Conray moved to California in 1957 to attend college (AC), and retired to Alabama in 1996. He was an avid outdoors enthusiast, including boating, off roading, camping, hunting and cycling. He is survived by his wife Judith Jennings; sons, Curtis Jennings, Roger Jennings and Nathan Jennings; first wife Doris Holland; sisters, Marie Mansanarez, Gayla Brockman and Bonita Ballew; brothers, Carl Jennings and Jerald Jennings; and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Leon and Elsie Jennings and sister, Ann Butcher. A memorial gathering will be held at a later date. Burial will be at Mount Moriah Cemetery in Fridays Crossing, Alabama.

Conray, rather suddenly, came down with a dementia-like ailment that was diagnosed as "primary progressive aphasia syndrome"; it affected his ability to speak or understand words. He was in a nursing home for about two years and because of covid, his family could not visit for most of last year. His brother told me they got to see him only a couple of times near the end of last year just before he died. You may not know this, but Conray and I were in the same class in high school and he is the one who introduced me to the WWCG and Ambassador College; his sister was my bridesmaid when Ernest and I married, and I have stayed in touch with his family over the years. So that is how I knew about his passing. When I noted recently that he had not been listed, I thought I should submit it.
