Arthur Landing

Art Landing was born on November 16, 1942, to Joseph and Eleanor Landing in Huntington Hospital in Pasadena, Caliifornia.. For the first three years of his life he lived in an apartment behind the Fire Station on Pasadena Ave. When he was three years old his sister Christine was born and they moved to Arcadia, Caliofornia.  He lived there for around 10 years and then they moved to Chula Vista, California. He graduated at Chula Vista in 1957.  Art went to Ambassador College but had to leave because of the death of his father.  He did graduate from Ambassador College in 1969.

Art became an Enrolled Agent in the tax business and obtained his own business in San Gabriel, CA in 1982.

In 1985  he met a girl (Elizabeth Lowder) on the WATS Line who was visiting from Indiana and married her in May of 1991.  She had four sons who he helped raise.

His mother preceded him in death in May 31, 2020. She lived to be 107 ½ years of age.

Art had a stroke in 1999 and suffered a heart attack in 2009.  He was in declining health but he remained active in the Kiwanis Club and did various things for the KEY Club and Builders Club.  In the last 18 months he was basically wheelchair bound but was still working in the Kiwanis Club.  He enjoyed working and serving other people.

He had 10 grandkids: William. Jameson, Everett, Cheyenne, Isabell, James, Travis, Charlotte, Veronica and Colin. His stepson, Carl Griffith died earlier this year in January 22.

Art passed peacefully at his home on December 12, 2022. He will be greatly missed. 

The memorial service will be on Saturday, January 14, ,2023 at the Open Bible Church in Rosemead, California at 3:00 pm
