I hadn't been in contact with Bob since college but we did take a couple of trips together and were friends during our college years. After seeing that he was deceased I did an internet search and found his obituary. Some of you might be interested in checking it out. http://iagenweb.org/ringgold/obitht001/obit_l-obit_m/obit-layrobertlee.html
Thank you, Garry, for posting the information about Bob Lay. I also have fond memories of him from our FOT in 1963 in Squaw Valley. He took me horseback riding since he knew I had done that growing up on the farm in ND. That was always a very special moment for me.
Thank you, Garry Pifer, for posting the obit on Bob Lay. How grieved I am to see that he lost his life in a traffic accident. What an amazing life he had, full of productivity and good works!! I remember him well from our Ambassador College days!
Many great memories of Bob! Both he and my wife were from Iowa farms. Always wondered what happened to him. Did not realize he ended up near where I was born. Wish we had been able to establish contact before his death. By the way, Arlene is still alive.

Bob was such a cheerful person with a great sense of humor and wit. I still remember his explaining the merits of the "donut theory" of the earth.
To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. I'm sure Bob and Arlene are having a great time with Him!
