It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of David Kenneth Locke, 82, of Warrenton, NC, who passed away on June 22, 2023 at his home. 

David was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Jean Locke, sister, Anita Adams, brothers, Richard Locke and Lyle Locke. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Leona Iris Locke, his daughters Davina Winn (husband Bill) and Lewanna Locke, and two grandchildren, Faith Winn and Abigail Winn.

He attended Ambassador College in Pasadena, CA, from 1960-1963. He attained his Ph.D in Behavioral Therapy in 1989. He was certified as a Neuro-LInguistic Practitioner in 1991.

David found his passion in the continual pursuit of knowledge and truth. He had a zeal for teaching and enjoyed sharing his knowledge with others. However, his intellect was balanced with a playfulness that encouraged others to find their laughter. This resulted in his family and friends enjoying the same corny jokes...again...and again...and again. He was a dreamer that loved to create his vision of what is possible. He was an avid fan of science fiction, which fueled his love for stargazing. He also attained his amateur radio license and was a proud member of the American Radio Relay League (ARRL).

Though he will be greatly missed, we celebrate the life of this Husband, Father, Grandfather, and Friend. At David's request, no funeral or memorial service will be held. Instead, the family has asked that friends and loved ones show their support by sharing their thoughts and memories.
