C. Gary Reid -
It is with great sadness that we mourn the passing of Charles Gary Reid on January 11, 2025 at age 84, peacefully in his sleep while watching old Elvis Presley videos.

He graduated with degrees in Engineering Science, teaching and Theology. He taught high school and college mathematics. Gary spent a lifetime pursuing spiritual understanding and was a deep thinker, studying religion, education and politics.

He is predeceased by his wife Blanche in 2022. He was a caring father to Elizabeth, Richard, Jonathan (predeceased in 2021), and Kimberly. He was grandfather to Conner, Richard Jr., Angelina, Ariana, and Charlotte. He was uncle to Dale, Carol, Patty, Roberta, David (predeceased), Nicholas, and Katharine.

He was a father figure to his nieces and nephews upon the death of their fathers. He also loved Bassett Hounds and played racquetball, squash and tennis. He was an avid supporter of little league sports during his children’s youth, acting as coach to their teams. He also loved the Blue Jays and other professional sports.

He would sacrifice his time taking his son Rick to his hockey games and practices. He also exhibited support in the stands when his son scored his first goal, forever forged in his memory.
