Roy Schulz, age 86, of Pasadena, CA, was called home by his Lord and Savior on June 12, 2021 at Imperial Care Center in Studio City, CA. He was born on November 21, 1934 in Sheboygan, WI, a son of the late Albert and Linda (Stolper) Schulz.
 
Roy attended grade school at LaFollette School in Adell, WI and Sherman Center School. He participated in Badger Boys State for the American Legion mock government experience for HS rising seniors. He graduated from Random Lake High School in 1952. After high school he attended Mission House (Lakeland University) and in 1957 he graduated from the University of Wisconsin. In 1958, he moved to Pasadena, CA, to continue his education at Ambassador College and University of Southern California.
Roy started teaching high school at Imperial Schools. In 1960, he married Letha May and together they had two children, Perry and Penny.
 
Roy loved teaching; he was an Assistant Professor of History at Ambassador College. After his Professor years, Roy continued teaching by being a substitute teacher. He volunteered at the Alhambra Psychiatric Hospital.
 
Roy often came back to Wisconsin to visit family and attended high school reunions. He loved to travel through his Church. He traveled to Korea, Israel/Jordan, Turkey, and many other places.
Survivors include: his two children, Perry Schulz and Penny (David) Trachy both of Salem, Oregon; his brother, James (Mardell) Schulz of Random Lake; niece, Donna (Jan) Borgwardt of Adell; nephew, Dennis Schulz of Random Lake; great-niece, Anita Florencio of Sheboygan and great-nephew, Anthony Florencio of Sheboyagn.
 
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Ruth Ann (Earl) Stegemeyer; niece, Amy Acherman; and nephew, Kurt Stegemeyer.
 
A memorial service will be held on Saturday (July 10, 2021) at 11:30 AM at the Suchon Funeral Home in Plymouth. Friends and family can gather at the Funeral Home from 11:00 AM until the time of service at 11:30 AM. Rev. Dale Miller, Pastor of Salem Plankroad UCC, will officiate. Inurnment will be at Pilgrim's Rest Cemetery in Adell.
