Known and loved by all!

It is with heavy hearts that we share with you the passing of a beautiful wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend…Suzanne Mauzey.
Vera Suzanne Mauzey of Anna, Texas, passed away on Sunday, April 14, 2024. Suzanne was born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, on January 24 to Vera May and William Sloan. She spent her formative years in Andover, Ohio, and eventually moved to Pasadena, California, to attend Ambassador College. There she met her husband, and they married in 1970, beginning a family together and raising three boys. She was a beautiful wife to Edward and a loving mother to her boys. Her devotion as a wife, matriarch, grandmother, and mother, as well as a loyal sister, aunt, friend, and daughter were unmatched. Suzanne possessed an infectious pride in the accomplishments of those she loved, often encouraging them and sharing her wisdom. She spent a great portion of her life devoted to helping others through volunteer work and counseling. She was a true Texan and proud citizen of the USA, having completed her naturalization in 2011. Her beautiful singing voice will be missed, but Suzanne’s genuineness, playful spirit, and legacy will certainly live on through those who knew her.
She is survived by her husband Ed Mauzey, son David and wife Kathryn; grandchildren Jared and Jennifer, son Christopher and wife Renee, grandchildren Macy, Myles, and Marly; Son Mark and wife Dana, granddaughter Vera; Sister Linda Neff and family; Brother William Sloan and family; Sister Mary McNeely and family; and Brother Robert Sloan and family.
A visitation will be held at Scoggins Funeral Home & Crematory in Van Alstyne, TX, on Friday, April 19 at 2:00pm, followed by a memorial at 3:00pm.
Suzanne will be dearly missed by all!

We just heard about Suzanne's passing this morning (April, 2024). My wife and I are both surprised and saddemed by her dealth. I have known Ed and Suzanne since 1967 when we were all freshman at Ambassador College. We were in the same speech classes.and saw each other around the camspus. Suzanne was a friendly and outgoing person with a lot of warmth and friendliness. She added a lot to our student body,
Our sincere condolences to Ed and his family.
