Terry Allen Stark
March 4, 1952 - July 9, 2025
With heavy hearts, the family of Terry Allen Stark announces his passing on July 9th, 2025, at the age of 73. Born on March 4th, 1952, in Loup City, he was the eldest child of David and Dorothy Stark. Terry was a devoted husband to Drucie and a loving father to Jason, Alicia, Andrea, and Brittany.
Terry’s passion for farming began in his childhood on the family farm in Hazard. An entrepreneur at heart, he started a hay baling and sales business at the age of 14. After graduating from Pleasanton High School, Terry moved to Big Sandy, Texas, to attend Ambassador College. He later returned to Nebraska to assist with the family farm.
It was at a Church dance where he met his future wife, Drucie. Terry’s father, David, joked that he would have to bill Drucie for all the hours Terry was distracted while working. They married on May 23, 1976, and together, they took over the operation of the family farm.
True to his entrepreneurial spirit, Terry answered a newspaper ad for a seed salesman position. He soon discovered his true calling and spent the next 38 years in the seed industry, building a reputation for dedication and expertise.
Terry loved his community, and the only thing he enjoyed more than the relationships he built with those around him was discovering a new restaurant, food truck, or exotic ingredient at a local farmer’s market. His curiosity and passion for good food were a defining part of who he was, and he shared that love with everyone he met.
Terry leaves behind a legacy of hard work, humor, and kindness that will forever be remembered by those who knew him. He is survived by his mother, Dorothy; his wife, Drucie; children Jason & Amanda Stark, Alicia & Chris Jones, Andrea Stark, and Brittany & Tyler Hanks; grandchildren Mariah, CJ, Gavin, Jenna, Ryker, Leah, and Emma; great-grandchildren Nation, Harlem, Ja’Layah, and Halo; as well as siblings Dean & Yvonne Stark, Kelly & George Smith, Dale & Deb Stark, and Mindy Stark. He was preceded in death by his father, David, and his brother, Curtis.
A Celebration of Life gathering will be held on Saturday, July 19th at Cutting Edge Seed 28540 355th Rd Pleasanton, NE 68866. Please stop by anytime between 1:00-4:00 pm to share special memories with the family. Food will be provided from one of Terry’s favorite restaurants, El Primo. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Pleasanton or Ravenna FFA chapter in his memory. https://everloved.com/life-of/terry-stark/obituary/

Larry Simcik (1970)
SO sorry to hear of Terry's passing. We first met at SEP in Orr, Minnesota during the summer of 1967. With both of us having a farming background, we hit it off. I remember him talking about his Oliver tractor he used in his hay business. That was special to me because we used Oliver tractors on my Dad's farm. so we had a lot to talk about. One of the highlights of SEP was that we got to participate in a 5 day canoe trip along the US/Canadian border. A few years later we were reunited at Ambassador College in Big Sandy, where we both worked on the college farm. {under David Leach of Arnold, Nebraska; class of '69 i think} We got to work on some land reclamation projects and other farm activities during our college days. We also spent time together on our senior trip to Mexico City via bus and train.
Unfortunately over the years we lost contact with each other, but I treasure the many fond memories.
My thoughts and prayers certainly are with the entire family. God's blessings upon them.
