It is with a heavy heart that I share the news that Mike Swagerty passed away February 7, 2025 from cancer. Mike was a dedicated, kind, sweet, intelligent soul and will be missed greatly. He was 78 years old and has served in the ministry for many years.
He is survived by his wife Sandy, his two sons Terry and Robert and their families, his two sisters Lisa and Carla, and his brother Terry.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on April 5, 2025 at 1:00 PM at:
Lakewood Memorial Park and Funeral Home

I will never forget Mr. Swagerty who anointed me after I injured my left knee playing basketball at AC Pasadena in February 1977. Three days later God, in His mercy and compassion, healed me while I was sleeping after I could not bend the knee the night before, when I prayed on my stomach in the prayer closet in Grove Terrace, and asked God to heal my knee and said, "I believe, help thou my unbelief." God used Mr. Swagerty to draw me closer to Him and the reality of His existence, love and plan for all of mankind. Mr. Swagerty was a faithful, obedient, humble servant of God the Father and our Lord Jesus Christ. The good book says, "them that honour me I will honour" (1 Samuel 2:30). God will honor Mr. Swagerty's labor of love at the resurrection of the saints of the Most High God. God speed that day!
