Lynda Walden Bechthold

After graduation, I worked as Keith Hunter's secretary in Data Processing until 1969. David continued to work in Buildings & Grounds until, I believe, 1973. I worked off & on for a temporary agency. One assignment was with Beverly Enterprises where I got to experience one of Pasadena's earthquakes from an 8th floor perspective.
Karen Armstrong called me one day to see if I would be willing to type the words for the church hymnal. I said yes so they delivered an IBM executive typewriter, along with supplies, to our house and I started to work.
In March 1974 we moved to Orangevale, CA where we still reside.
That year I got a temporary job working as a key data operator for Franchise Tax Board. By the time my job was ending I was a month away from giving birth to our daughter. I was fortunate to be able to stay home with her until she was in kindergarten.
I then got a job with Dean Witter, downtown Sacramento. In addition to Dean Witter, over the years I worked for Prudential Securities, Piper Jaffray, UBS, USB, and Edward Jones until I retired Jan. 3, 2014.
Since retirement, David & I have been doing some traveling which we hope to continue.
