Obituary of Robert Leroy Witt

Robert Leroy Witt passed away at his home on Friday, June 7, 2019. Bob was born on March 18, 1932 in Rocky Ford, Colorado to Gertrude Belveal and Nelson John Witt. Bob grew up on a farm and enjoyed hunting in his younger days. He attended Ambassador College in Pasadena, California and later Westminster College. Robert married Nellie Claudia Doolittle (Nancie) on October 21, 1959 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Bob owned and operated his own excavating business for many years. He was well known for his beautiful rock walls along the Wasatch Front. He and his wife were members of the World Wide Church of God for many years and later Church of God World Association. He is survived by his wife Nancie and three children, Nelson (Brenda) Witt, Lori (Bob) Planken and Shawn (Kim) Witt. Also survived by 15 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Celebration of life service for close friends and family will be from 4:00-5:00 pm on Friday, June 21, 2019. Open house to follow at 5 pm. Location is 125 West 2950 South, Salt Lake City, Utah.
