Cheryl "Chi Chi" Davis Mills, 76, passed away peacefully on June 9th at her home in Cedar Grove, North Carolina. She was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to the late William "Bill" Warren Davis and Suzanne Billings Davis. In addition to her parents, Ms. Mills was also predeceased by her sister, Deborah Ann Davis.

Ms. Mills, better known as Chi Chi, spent her 76 years of life being a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to all. Chi Chi graduated with a bachelors in Theology from Ambassador College in California. She dedicated her life to raising her two children, painting, gardening, and being a prayer warrior. In her spare time, she painted portraits of her family, her favorite Bible verses, and her favorite flowers.

She loved spending time with her family, enjoying family meals, listening to and playing music, and working in her yard. Her love was unconditional toward everyone whose path she crossed. Her spirit was devoted to Jesus, with her love for praying rivaling that of the love for her family. She prayed daily over friends, family, loved ones, and strangers alike; she truly was God's servant.

She was amazed by the beauty of God's creation and she expressed that by spending time in her garden, sitting by her lake, and nurturing her flowers and blueberry bushes. Chi Chi's generosity, compassion, empathy, and support were felt by all of those around her.

Ms. Mills is survived by her son, David Ethan Mills; daughter, Julie Cherie Mills; grandchildren, Daniel William Mills, Madelaine Necole Mills, Nathan Joseph Mills; sisters, Sandy Davis Kirk, Mimi Rhoda Davis, Jennifer Jean Davis; former husband, Joe Mills; and friend, Cassie Necole Petzoldt.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 19th at Clements Funeral Chapel on North Churton Street in Hillsborough. A visitation with the family will start at 10:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be sent to Samaritan's Purse, God TV, or TBN Ministries.
