Guy Allen Gipson, age 81, most recently of Panama, passed away on Thursday, October 9, 2025, at Anna Mae Owen Residential Hospice House in Murray, KY.

Born on September 26, 1944, in Magee, MS, he was the son of George Allen Gipson and Virginia Alice Carpenter Gipson.

Guy dedicated a significant part of his career to public service, first as a social worker while living in Cadiz, KY. After relocating to Lafayette Hill, PA, he worked as a postal carrier, eventually rising to the esteemed position of postmaster. After many years of service, he retired from the United States Postal Service.

Beyond his professional achievements, Guy had a passion for computers and loved to travel the world. His desire to learn how computers worked early on became a life-long hobby. He spent several years living in New Zealand, and for the past four years of his life, he called Panama home. An avid RV'er, he enjoyed traveling the open roads and exploring new places while always searching for the perfect temperature.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Douglas Gipson.

Guy is survived by his children, Anthony Gipson (Sandra) of Maricopa, AZ, Merilee Frye (Marcus) of Cadiz, KY, Sherilee Jones (David) of Murray, KY, and Ryan Gipson (Kasia) of Buckeye, AZ; nine grandchildren, Hayla, Kanisha, Marcanah, Amberlie, Caleb, Hunter, Victor, Lucas, and Max, and seven great-grandchildren.

As per Guy’s wishes, there will be no services.
