John Daneri Schroeder, December 2, 1937 - October 17, 2021 (age 83)
No doubt some here have heard of the passing of John D. Schroeder, Director of the Ambassador Chorale for many years.
John was suffering from congestive heart failure and died of a massive heart attack Sunday evening, October 17; the paramedics were unable to revive him.His wife Michele was by his side.
She has her grandson, Eric (Ben's son) living with her, so thankfully she is not alone. Their daughter lives in Australia.
Anyone involved with WCG in the 60s, 70s, 80s would have known and loved John! Being in the band, orchestra, or choir under his direction was always adventurous, instructive, and just plain fun.
From Ingrid Helge: John had a great impact on my life musically, and I will never forget all the wonderful concert experiences - Oratorio's, Church choir concerts, talks, listening to his stories and humor and more.
He will be greatly missed!
